new-age journalism.
check out the ways below I am continuing the legacy of journalism in the new age.
I like to take my time when it comes to my writing. I spend copious amounts of time researching unnoticed yet vital aspects to a story; I consider all viewpoints; I check outsider and insider beliefs with truths based on facts, and I give stellar attention to detail before publishing. I focus on quality over quantity and speed. Rome wasn't built in an hour. I write on my own website under "Blogs" and I repost to Medium.
Shooting and editing video is the most fun part of what I do. I learn every day new tricks with Premiere Pro; audio, visual, and more. I have a keen eye for what looks great in between the four corners of a screen and what the audience will want to see when they click on my thumbnail. I create video set to my higher standards of quality.
I took my first photos on my first DSLR in 2013 - already a decade ago! My love of photo was the gateway to me loving video. I spent countless hours of the last ten years learning the ins and outs of the DSLR, Lightroom, and Photoshop. My lens naturally drifts toward what looks great through the viewfinder. I enjoy taking portraits the most, but have a blast exploring a landscape to capture nature's singular moment in time.
